Wedding Berries

Are you going to be a Lolita Bride

Hey, I was bored and didn't feel like reading my boring management textbook, so I created a Lolita wedding Poll.  I hope you enjoy it!

Poll #1510817 Lolita Bride

Do you planning wearing Lolita for your wedding

Oh yes! Its been my dream for a long time.
No I have a different vision for my wedding day.
I'm not sure yet.

If you are going to wear Lolita for your wedding, do you plan on wearing brand?

Yes, everything will be brand!
No, I plan on custom making something special in the Lolita style.
I haven't decided yet.

If you are not planning on wearing Lolita for the wedding will you be taking elements of Lolita and putting them in your bridal attire (Shoes, jewelry, ect)?

I'll only be wearing Lolita shoes.
I'll be only wearing Lolita jewelry.
I plan on adding as much Lolita in my wedding as possible!
Not sure yet.

Will your bridesmaids be wearing Lolita?

You bet!
No I want them to wear traditional bridesmaids dresses.

Will your bridesmaids be wearing brand?

We'll all be wearing brand!
No I want them to wear something custom made too.
I don't know yet?

Will your groom be wearing kodona for the wedding?

Yes! He's not only sweet to do this for me but he looks very handsome/ cute in kodona as well!
If I could convince him, you bet he will be wearing kodona!
It would be nice but that's not his style.
I don't know?

Will guests be encouraged to wear Lolita to the wedding?

Yes, the more Lolita's the merrier!
No I want the bridal party to be special.
I'm not sure?

Tea Time

2010 Brides!

Hello one and all.  I apologize for the lack of updates, I've been busy with school work, so I've been extremely lax in updating Lolita weddings.  I will try to do better in the future with updates.  In the meantime I encourage other Lolita Brides to post stories of the planning process, their dresses, venues, flowers, anything related to both Lolita and weddings.

With the new year, comes a new set of brides who are in the planning process.  If you are one of those brides who will be having their wedding this year please be encouraged to post.

For now I would like to share with you something I did over my college winter break.  I started making bridal bouquets and centerpieces, I would like to share with you the very first bouquet I made.

Pretty flowersCollapse )

If you want to know more about flowers, I found a really amazing book about flowers called Bouquet Chic by Kimberly Kapur.  She has a lot really excellent ideas.  There is even a bouquet called Lolita.  If you get a chance pick it up.

hopeful reporting

I'm having my civil ceramony in October this year and hopefully I'll be able to put up pictures. We're imposably low on budget but we're giving the lolita theme a go.

This is my partner's dress http://www.fanplusfriend.com/servlet/the-216/Dolly-Gothic-Lolita-cln--Double/Detail  (sorry I don't have a picture of the blouse that goes with it.)

And after a lot of trouble with sizes and such I'll be wearing something a little more aristo. I'll be wearing this blouse http://www.fanplusfriend.com/servlet/the-174/Country-fdsh-Gothic-Lolita--fdsh-EGL-cln--White/Detail a long victorian style skirt and caplet, both in black.

We'll be having it in blists hill victorian town (google it, it's wonderfull) .

Hope to report on it more soon.

Marry Me

Welcome (again!) and planning a subtle Lolita wedding

Hello everyone and welcome to lolita_weddings.  Since the inital first post (Good grief last November!), I have gotten engaged.  My wedding isn't for another 2 years (October 23, 2011), but that hasn't stopped me from buying my dress or planning (Remember its never too early to start planning).

While I have decided not to have full Lolita wedding (mostly to please a few of my really traditional family members) I have however, decided I want to subtly incorporate some Lolita themes into the wedding.  I would like to have very soft lighting for the reception, lots of very delicate flowers like peony and garden roses; and one of my guests asked if they could wear Lolita and of course I had to say yes!

But let me show you what I have in mind for my dress, hair, flowers and shoes for the wedding day:

Wedding gear!Collapse )

So even if you don't want to have a full Lolita wedding (or for some reason you can't have a Lolita wedding), you can always incorporate small details into your wedding to make it subtly Lolita, that way no one will ever know the difference.

Wedding Berries

Welcome to Lolita Weddings

Hello.  My name is Adrienne (although a lot of people know me as Aa-chan) and I started the Lolita Wedding community because I know there are a lot of Lolita's out there who are in the process of planning their wedding and would like help and advice from other Loli's about how to plan their ideal Lolita Wedding.  Or maybe your friend is into Lolita and you're trying to help her plan her wedding.  Or maybe you just like weddings and would love to see a few Lolita weddings for ideas you may have for your big day.  In any case, I welcome you all.

Please feel free to ask questions, post pictures, annouce engagements, or give advice.

I will be more then happy to give you a few tips on planning a wedding (I am a certified wedding planner, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve I'd be willing to share).

Welcome everyone and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
